Special guest: Dr. Jill Carnahan

Dr. Carnahan received her medical degree from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago and completed her residency at the University of Illinois Program in Family Medicine at Methodist Medical Center. She is dually board-certified in Family Medicine (ABFM) and Integrative Holistic Medicine (ABIHM). She was part of the first 100+ healthcare practitioners to be certified through the Institute of Functional Medicine (IFMCP), and recently opened a new medical clinic with a broad range of services in Louisville, Colorado. Dr. Carnahan is also a 14-year survivor of breast cancer and Crohn’s disease and is passionate about teaching patients how to “live well” and thrive in the midst of complex and chronic illness. She is committed to teaching other physicians how to address underlying causes of illness through the principles of functional medicine, rather than just treating symptoms.

Dr. Kevin Passero and his special guest Tom Malterre will be discussing how chemicals are altering our microbiome, hormones, and immune systems and what that means to our health.

Tom Malterre, MS, CN, received both his Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Nutrition from Bastyr University and is licensed by the state of Washington as a certified nutritionist. Tom travels throughout the United States and Canada lecturing at conferences on topics such as vitamin D, gluten intolerance, and digestive health. He empowers people through classes, seminars, and private counseling with his insight and depth of knowledge on the biochemical interactions within our bodies, and their relationships to our diet.

Dr. Kevin Passero and his special guest Caroline Blazovsky will be discussing important ways to make a healthier home for those suffering from asthma, allergies and chemical sensitivity.

Caroline is the president of My Healthy Home® – a nationwide company that offers mold testing, indoor air testing, consultations, and healthy home products. Caroline has obtained certifications in CMR (Certified Microbial Remediation) and CIE (Certified Indoor Environmentalist), and is completing a Sustainable Design Certification from the Boston Architectural College. Her work has been recognized nationally and she has been featured by outstanding personalities such as Martha Stewart, Dr. Ronald Hoffman M.D., Mike Holmes (Holmes on Homes) and Chef Jamie Gwen; she has also been interviewed on many nationally syndicated talk radio shows.
