Special guest: Marcelle Pick, NP, is passionate about transforming the way women experience healthcare through an integrative approach. She co-founded the world renowned Women to Women Clinic in 1983 with the vision to not only treat illness, but also help support her patients in pro-actively making healthier choices to prevent disease. She has successfully treated thousands of individuals through her unique approach to wellness.
In 2001, Marcelle created MarcellePick.com with a goal to be able to reach, inspire, and educate even more women worldwide – her website offers informative articles on women’s health issues and at-home solutions to some of the most troublesome symptoms they experience today.
Marcelle discovered Functional Medicine early on in her career and was honored to be among the first to be certified as a Functional Medicine Practitioner. In addition she holds a BS in Nursing from the University of New Hampshire School of Nursing, a BA in Psychology from the University of New Hampshire, and her MS in Nursing from Boston College-Harvard Medical School. She is certified as an OB/GYN Nurse Practitioner and a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, and is a member of the American Nurses Association and the American Nurse Practitioner Association.
Marcelle is currently an educator with The Institute of Functional Medicine and has served as a Medical Advisor to Healthy Living Magazine, writes a weekly newsletter for MarcellePick.com, and lectures on a variety of topics including weight loss resistance, infertility, stress & illness, and adrenal dysfunction. She is the author of The Core Balance Diet, Is It Me or My Adrenals? and Is It Me or My Hormones?. She has appeared on Dr. Oz, FOX, and ABC and has been featured in Glamour Magazine, ELLE Magazine and Women’s World Magazine. Marcelle’s PBS show, Is It Me or My Hormones? is a favorite among viewers.
Special guest: Dr. Decker Weiss
Dr. Weiss is the first Naturopathic Physician to complete an internship, fellowship and residency at a conventional hospital (AZ Heart Institute). He is the first Cardiologist as a “Naturopathic Physician” and has treated more than 40,000 patients over the past 17 years. In 2012 he was named one of the “Leading Physicians in the World” a distinction given to under 1,000 physicians each year. He has worked in Haiti, Tibet, and recently on the Syrian border both in a medical capacity, and as a researcher to look at the biochemistry of violent behaviors, and radicalization. Dr. Weiss has lectured and taught in some of the finest academic and medical institutions in the world, including the first Holistic (functional) physician to lecture at the renowned Cleveland Clinic.

Anthony Thomas, PhD, earned his bachelor’s degree in nutrition, dietetics and food science from California State University Northridge, his doctorate in nutritional biology from the University of California at Davis, and conducted postdoctoral research at the University of California at Los Angeles Larry Hillblom Islet Research Center. His primary research interests have focused on the influence of dietary and lifestyle factors on chronic cardiovascular/metabolic diseases including obesity, insulin resistance syndrome, and type 2 diabetes. He has authored/co-authored multiple peer reviewed scientific manuscripts and is currently is a consultant for Jarrow.
Special guest: Dr. Patricia Frye
Patricia Frye, MD, is a physician consultant with a focus on cannabis and the role it plays in homeostasis and the management of pain and chronic disease. She evaluates and manages patients who are considering the use of medicinal cannabis as a primary or adjunct therapy for illnesses. Dr. Frye graduated from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, then continued her studies at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston in the field of anesthesiology. She is professionally certified in cannabis science and medicine by the University of Vermont Larner School of Medicine and is a member of the Society of Cannabis Clinicians and the Academy of Integrative Pain Management.

Raphael Kellman, MD, graduated from Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He pioneered “Microbiome Medicine,” a groundbreaking new approach to medicine and healing which includes integrating holistic and functional medicine. Dr. Kellman is the author of The Microbiome Diet and other books on health and healing, He manages a thriving medical practice and lectures all over the world.

Erin Stokes, ND, received her naturopathic degree from Bastyr University in 2001. In her current position as Medical Director for MegaFood, she combines her experience as a naturopathic doctor with an extensive background in the natural retail products industry. Erin believes education is a key to making positive changes, and her personal mission is to empower people with the inspiration and tools to change their lives. The focus of Erin’s naturopathic practice in Boulder, Colorado, is on healthy moms. She believes, “When moms are healthy, the world can be healthy.”
Special guest: Dr. Aminah Keats
Aminah Keats, ND, FABNO, is board certified in naturopathic oncology and has specialized in integrative oncology since 2004. Dr. Keats received her naturopathic doctorate from the University of Bridgeport College of Naturopathic Medicine. She completed her undergraduate degree in psychology from Spelman College and did pre-medical coursework at Rutgers University. Her goal with each patient is to create a personalized treatment plan that safely works to reduce side effects, support immune function and offer a cancer-fighting benefit to patients who are actively undergoing conventional oncology treatment. Dr. Keats also works with patients who are at high risk for cancer and those seeking naturopathic care for cancer prevention. She utilizes vitamin and nutrient therapy, botanical medicine, and diet and lifestyle counseling to create individualized plans for her patients. She currently works in private practice at Capital Integrative Health in Bethesda, MD.
Special guest: Dr. Dale Bredesen
Dale Bredesen, MD, is internationally recognized as an expert in the mechanisms of neurodegenerative conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease. He graduated from Caltech, then earned his M.D. from Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. He served as chief resident in neurology at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) before joining Nobel laureate Stanley Prusiner’s laboratory at UCSF as an NIH postdoctoral fellow. He has held faculty positions at UCSF, UCLA, and the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Bredesen directed the Program on Aging at the Burnham Institute before becoming the founding president and CEO of the Buck Institute in 1998. He is the chief medical officer of MPI Cognition. In the spring of 2017, he will star in a documentary which follows patients on his protocol.

Amber Lynn Vitse, CN, is a certified nutritionist in Integrative Nutrition, and also brings her training in Ayurvedic medicine to the Garden of Life education team. She has worked in product retail for 16 years, as well as maintained her own wellness practice, working with doctors and alternative health practitioners promoting optimum health, inside and out. Amber has written educational articles for a variety of natural health publications, and she is excited to be a Regional Educator for Garden of Life and continue the mission of Empowering Extraordinary Health®.

Steven Masley, MD, is a physician, nutritionist, author, speaker and award-winning patient educator. He is a Fellow of the American Heart Association, American College of Nutrition, and American Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Masley is a clinical associate professor at the University of South Florida and teaches programs at Eckerd College. He sees patients from across North America at the Masley Optimal Health Center in St. Petersburg, FL, and has published numerous scientific articles, as well as several books: SMART FAT, The 30 Day Heart Tune-Up, and Ten Years Younger. He has devoted his medical career to the study of heart disease and aging, working to empower people to achieve optimal health through comprehensive medical assessments and lifestyle changes.
